Varda Space Industries, Inc. in El Segundo is seeking a Senior RF Components Engineer to own RF hardware design, validation, and testing for spaceflight. You will define specs, select or design components, and validate readiness before flight.

You will work with RF Systems, Flight Software, and Integration teams to ensure robust interfaces, document requirements, and drive qualification testing across space environmental regimes.

Formación

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
• Experience designing and integrating RF components into signal chains.
• Strong ownership and delivery track record on projects.
• Proficiency in Python and test software libraries (e.g., PyVISA).
• Familiarity with Unix environments and HITL testbeds.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for RF flight components including radios and filters.
• Collaborate with RF Systems Engineers to define specs and oversee lifecycle.
• Document cross-functional interfaces with Flight Software and Integration teams.
• Own product acceptance and qualification testing for space environments.
• Develop test software to automate equipment and measure performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and mitigation for flight risks.
• Mentor junior engineers and set high design/testing standards.
