Job summary

KGS LLC in Los Angeles County / Redmond area is seeking a Sr RF engineer to design RF subsystems for Amazon Leo's satellite network. You will analyze RF links, model performance, and collaborate with multiple teams globally to drive system-level outcomes.

The role emphasizes deep RF theory, link budgets across L to Ka bands, and hands-on testing of hardware in a fast-paced space program environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing RF systems for satellite payloads and ground segments.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in wireless communications and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test RF subsystems for satellite payloads including transponders, amplifiers, filters, and antenna feed networks.
• Perform RF link budget analysis for uplink, downlink, and inter-satellite links across multiple frequency bands.
• Develop RF simulation models using HFSS, CST, ADS or equivalent.
• Design and characterize antenna systems including phased arrays and reflector antennas.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to define RF performance requirements.
