Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced RF engineer to design and optimize LEO antenna systems for a high-profile satellite program in Redmond, WA. You will own end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through the front-end to antenna radiation, collaborating with RFIC, PA/LNA, software, and systems teams to meet stringent performance targets.

You will use HFSS/CST/AWR or similar tools to simulate arrays, validate patterns, and drive system strategies across calibration, software, and validation teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize antenna and array architectures to meet RF system goals.
• Own end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through RF front-end to antenna radiation with cross-team collaboration.
• Use EM/RF design tools to simulate element/array performance, mutual coupling, scan loss, and patterns.
• Collaborate with calibration, software, DSP, ASIC, and validation teams to define system strategies and measure performance.
• Define and maintain antenna specifications at module, aperture, and system levels.
• Support prototype builds, bring-up, and test campaigns for active antennas, including chamber and OTA testing.
• Provide DFM and DFT feedback for antenna boards, modules, and test fixtures.
• Write design reports, test summaries, and present results to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Develop and deploy code to support testing, simulation, and validation of antenna systems.
