Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an RF-Electronics repair technician to develop, implement, and support the ERC for Fab 8 in Malta, NY. This 5x2 shift role requires flexibility across all shifts to meet production goals and improve equipment availability.

The successful candidate will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair and qualification of RF systems and electronics, work with a range of test equipment, and contribute to in-house repair strategies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Assocate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military Electronics Training, Trade Certification, or equivalent experience.
• Min of 4 years' experience in electronics repair or semiconductor equipment maintenance.
• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a tightly coupled team.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Advanced RF and electronics repair and qualification of RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, and PCBAs.
• Conduct component-level diagnostics using test equipment.
• Perform root cause failure analysis and determine repair strategies.
• Develop and implement new repair pipelines for RF components.
• Create repair procedures, validation plans, and technical documentation.
