Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a skilled RF-Electronics Repair Technician to develop, implement, and support the ERC for Fab 8 in Malta, NY. The role focuses on improving productivity by increasing equipment availability and reducing repair spend in a 300mm fab environment.

The position follows a 5x2 schedule with shift flexibility to meet manufacturing needs. The candidate will perform advanced troubleshooting, qualification, and repair of RF and electronics systems, work with a range of test equipment,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics/engineering tech.
• Min 4 years electronics repair or semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for the role.
• Fluent in English, both written & verbal.
• Strong teamwork in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced RF and electronics repair.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and qualify RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems and related components.
• Conduct component-level diagnostics using RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector/network analyzers, meters).
• Develop and implement repair procedures, instructions, and validation plans.
• Identify opportunities to reduce external repair costs via in-house repair development.
• Ensure repaired components meet OEM performance requirements through testing and documentation.
