Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a skilled RF-Electronics repair technician to develop, implement, and support the electronic repair center (ERC) for Fab 8, in Malta, New York. The role focuses on improving equipment availability and reducing costs across the 300mm fab environment.

The position operates on a 5x2 schedule (Mon–Fri) with flexibility across shifts to meet production needs, and emphasizes teamwork, safety, and in-depth documentation of repair activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military Electronics Training, Trade Certification, or equivalent experience.
• Min of 4 years’ experience in electronics repair, semiconductor equipment maintenance, RF systems, or equivalent technical field.
• Up to 10% travel.
• Fluent in English (written & verbal).
• Strong communication and teamwork in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced RF and electronics repair and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair RF generators, matching networks, power delivery systems, and PCBAs.
• Use oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector/network analyzers, RF power meters, and other test gear for diagnostics.
• Develop repair pipelines and write procedures, instructions, and documentation.
• Establish testing and qualification criteria to meet OEM requirements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce external repair costs by in-house development.
