Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Manufacturing Operations Test Engineering Team in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced RF Test Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to own automated test development for digital, RF, and power hardware. You will perform hands-on bench debug, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires strong background in digital and RF test methods, with the ability to read schematics and bios, and to work under a DoD Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in a lab or production environment with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, VNA, signal generators, and DC power supplies.
• Experience reading schematics and block diagrams to localize hardware failures.
• Experience executing and debugging automated test procedures (power-on, functional, RF performance, BIT).
• Current/active DoD Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot automated test procedures for DC power-on and current checks.
• Perform RF measurements: gain, noise figure, intermodulation, channel isolation, and BIT functions.
• Debug using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, VNAs, and network analyzers.
• Verify control buses, configuration registers, and BIT indicators.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing engineering, and test technicians to refine test limits and procedures.
• Mentor technicians in interpreting automated test results and bench debug.
