Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Salt Lake City seeks a Sr Hardware Design Engineer to design custom circuit technology for software-defined radio applications, integrating high-speed digital components with embedded processors.

You will work on RF and digital circuits, perform schematic capture and PCB layout, and participate in design reviews and manufacturing transitions in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Document designs from requirements, testing procedures and bill of materials.
• Perform detailed hardware measurements and debug at a hardware level.
• Create custom circuit cards using FPGAs, embedded processors, networking components.
• Characterize hardware across diverse environmental conditions.
• Use interfaces such as 1GE, 10GE, 40GE, PCIe, SDRAM, DDR3/DDR4.
• Support transition of hardware to manufacturing testing.
• Contribute to design reviews and system integration.
