Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer in Salt Lake City to design hardware for software-defined radio applications. You will work on high-speed digital circuits, embedded processors, and mixed-signal boards, contributing to complex, mission-critical systems.

You will document designs, perform measurements, and help transition hardware to manufacturing. Collaboration across disciplines is essential to solve national security challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree with 2+ years experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Document designs from requirements, procedures, and BOM.
• Perform detailed hardware measurements and debug at hardware level.
• Create custom circuit cards with FPGAs, embedded processors, and networking components.
• Characterize hardware performance across varied environments.
• Work with industry interfaces (1GE-100GE, PCIe, SDRAM, DDR3/4).
• Support hardware transfer to manufacturing testing and design reviews.
