Job summary

TechRuiter is seeking an Senior RF Design Engineer – RFID / Wireless Systems in New York. The role covers board-level RF circuit and antenna design from architecture to lab bring-up, with 800MHz–8GHz operation. You will innovate at the cutting edge of location tech and help generate patents.

The position requires hands-on testing, design for RF power amplifiers, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. Hybrid work with Long Island presence is required.

Qualifications

• Board level RF circuit design experience required.
• RF impedance matching knowledge and Smith chart understanding.
• Antenna design and measurement experience required.
• Familiarity with VNA, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters.
• Experience with Class A/AB power amplifiers (up to 5W).
• Hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and soldering skills.
• RF simulation experience with ADS/CST required.

Responsibilities

• Design RF receivers, transmitters, and antennas for 800MHz–8GHz.
• Own RF system implementation through product design cycle.
• Design power supplies and supporting circuits.
• Prototype, debug, and perform root-cause analysis in lab.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external JDM/CMs to bring RFID products to market.
• Support EMI/EMC testing and validation.
• Develop RF design solutions and contribute to roadmaps.
• Draft specifications and input for product requirements.
• Focus on quality improvements across RF projects.
