Job summary

Itron is seeking an RF Design Engineer for our Wireless Hardware R&D team at the West Union, SC plant. You will lead RF circuit design from concept to production, validating performance and guiding cross-functional teams through design, test, and release.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications engineering and 5+ years of related experience; a Master’s degree and RF certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related industrial experience.
• In-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits and Microwave theory.
• Good understanding of RF system and wireless communication system.
• Master’s degree in related fields is highly preferred.
• RF Certification experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and support existing ones related to RF and communication design.
• Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low cost wireless products.
• Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory equipment.
• Verify designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation and measurement.
• Coordinate and verify work of technicians and CAD designers.
