Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary in Los Angeles, seeks a Senior RF Design Engineer to develop the RF subsystem for the StreamCaster MANET product line. You will work on antenna-to-baseband design, RFIC integration, and EMI‑related problem solving, reporting to the Director of RF Engineering in a fully onsite role.

The role requires 5+ years of RF hardware experience, a BS in EE, and strong skills in RF layout and simulation. Travel is rare; relocation not specified.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of multi‑GHz RF hardware development experience.
• Good knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
• Hands‑on EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issues.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (AWR Microwave Office, Altium).
• U.S. Person required due to federal contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design RF subsystems for Silvus StreamCaster MANET product line.
• Lead antenna to baseband RF subsystem design using discrete or integrated RFICs.
• Oversee schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Characterize RF performance, tune, and troubleshoot.
• Ensure EMI pass and compliance with regulations.
• Support manufacturability improvements and field issues.
