Allegro MicroSystems seeks an analytical Principal Accountant, Revenue & Transformation to advance our revenue accounting, reserves, and forecasting processes, with an initial focus on modernization and automation. The role offers a high-impact growth trajectory within the Controllership and finance organization.

Position is open to remote within New England with in-office presence in Manchester, NH a few times per month, enabling collaboration while embracing flexible work arrangements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on depth in revenue recognition (ASC 606), revenue reserves, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated track record of process improvement, workflow redesign, or implementing automation in an accounting environment.
• Strong proficiency with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and advanced Excel/data modeling skills.
• High analytical curiosity with an interest in leveraging modern data tools and AI to solve operational accounting challenges.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Own revenue accounting execution, including monthly/quarterly close entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with ASC 606.
• Maintain, analyze, and enhance revenue reserve models (e.g., Ship & Debit, rebates, and returns) by evaluating historical trends, distributor inventories, and current commercial conditions.
• Partner with Commercial Finance to deliver data-backed revenue forecasts and explain margin/revenue variances to executive leadership.
• Serve as a key technical resource for sales teams and business leaders to translate commercial deals, pricing changes, and customer agreements into proper accounting treatments.
• Audit existing revenue and controllership workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and minimize manual spreadsheets.
• Partner with Finance Systems and IT to design and implement scalable automation, improved system integrations, and self-service reporting.
• Actively pilot and deploy emerging automation and AI tools for data reconciliations, trend monitoring, and variance detection.
• Define standardized, repeatable transformation blueprints that can be scaled across other controllership workstreams.
• Maintain rigorous SOX internal controls, process documentation, and audit-ready schedules for internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal to understand commercial drivers and identify upstream risks before they impact the ledger.
• Champion a continuous-improvement mindset across Finance, challenging historical habits to build scalable, best-in-class accounting operations.
