Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Revenue Cycle Medical Coder to join our in-office team. You will ensure accurate procedural and diagnostic coding, review claims for compliance, and support the Revenue Cycle Department under the Director.

The role requires CPC/CPC-A/RHIT/CCS preferred, 5+ years coding/billing experience, NextGen knowledge, and strong Excel skills. You will train staff and collaborate with Compliance and Contracting to implement best practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certification in medical coding and billing (CPC, CPC-A, RHIT, or CCS preferred).
• 5+ years' experience in a coding and billing position.
• Knowledge of NextGen or similar EHR.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procedural and diagnosis codes are correctly assigned per regulations.
• Review claims and configurations for coding compliance and best practices.
• Review patient charts, claims, and policies to verify billable services.
• Train and support claims team members on billing procedures and coding requirements.
• Recommend and implement coding review protocols and code modifications.
• Stay up to date on coding requirements and best practices.
