Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a qualified Medical Coder to review claims in Cerner Revenue Cycle, analyze coding edits, and ensure accurate charge entry and clean claim submission. The role requires CPC/CCS/RHIT certification and at least one year in revenue cycle, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Candidates will interpret provider orders, progress notes, and test results to support posted charges and ensure compliance with AMA, Medicare, and commercial coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certified CPC, CCS, or RHIT credential(s).
• Minimum one year of revenue cycle experience.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT.
• Experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle system.

Responsibilities

• Reviews claims in assigned work queues in Cerner Revenue Cycle.
• Analyzes coding edits and reviews timeline notes and clinical documentation.
• Determines actions to resolve coding edits and ensure clean claim submission.
• Applies appropriate modifiers and ensures alignment with AMA, Medicare, and commercial guidelines.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy requirements; reports concerns to leadership.
• Communicates with clinical and billing staff to obtain and provide data for coding requirements.
