Job summary

Space Exploration Technologies Corp seeks a Senior Accountant to build and lead revenue accounting for its AI platform and services from the ground up. You will report on revenue for subscriptions, usage‑based billing, and enterprise agreements, preparing entries and monthly close materials with cross‑functional partners.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting, a CPA or equivalent, and strong Excel/BI skills. Onsite work in Palo Alto, CA is required with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in SaaS/tech revenue.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with analytics/BI tools.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with ERP and billing systems (Oracle, HubSpot, Stripe Billing).

Responsibilities

• Calculate, analyze, and report revenue for platforms, subscriptions, and enterprise agreements.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly reporting materials.
• Document new product initiatives with technical accounting to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Identify process improvements and automate revenue systems and reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Revenue Operations, Sales, and Legal.
• Support annual audits, ad hoc analyses, and revenue-related projects.
