Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Sr. Accountant to build and lead the revenue accounting function for its AI platform. The role involves calculating and reporting revenue, documenting product initiatives for ASC 606 compliance, and driving process improvements across finance and cross-functional teams.

The candidate should have a CPA and at least 4 years in revenue accounting, preferably SaaS/tech, with advanced Excel, SQL, and BI tool experience. Onsite work in Hawthorne is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in revenue accounting, SaaS/tech revenue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, analyze, and report revenue for SpaceXAI's platform and services.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly reporting materials.
• Document new product initiatives to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
• Identify opportunities to automate revenue processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Revenue Ops, Sales and Legal to understand operations.
