Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a Revenue Accountant to own recurring revenue close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will handle journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, applying US GAAP and ASC 606 policies, with a focus on data quality in NetSuite.

In this remote-first role, you will collaborate with Revenue and Finance teams, support audits, and identify improvements to processes and controls. A CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; 3+ years relevant accounting experience; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue accounting principles, including ASC 606, with ability to apply policies.
• Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; detail-oriented with large data sets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage recurring processes and small-to-medium projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning ERP and revenue tools such as NetSuite, Zuora, Looker; clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring revenue close activities: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and documentation; resolve routine variances.
• Apply revenue accounting policies to recurring transactions; escalate non-standard matters as needed.
• Maintain recurring revenue reporting and data; ensure data quality and flag issues for follow-up.
• Support AR reconciliations to ensure completeness of NetSuite AR balance.
• Support revenue calculations using established methodologies and maintain documentation.
• Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit: schedules, reconciliations, routine requests.
• Suggest practical process improvements to improve accuracy, timeliness, or controls.
• Communicate progress and dependencies; maintain process documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
