Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue to oversee the accurate recording of revenue for 450+ communities and multiple payer sources, ensuring GAAP (ASC 606) compliance and posting monthly journal entries in Yardi 8.

The role starts remote and will transition to onsite in Dallas three days a week, collaborating with community offices, regional teams, and leadership on revenue analysis, close processes, and reporting; strong Excel and multi-entity experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with revenue accounting, AR, or payer billing in a multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency in Yardi 8.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Working knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue recording for 450+ communities and multiple payer sources.
• Post monthly revenue journal entries and reconcile with GL.
• Review AR sub-ledger, ensure ASC 606 compliance, investigate variances.
• Lead revenue components of close, prepare reports for leadership.
• Maintain rate schedules, support audits, and drive process improvements.
