Job Overview
As Senior, Revenue Accounting, you will participate in all aspects of revenue accounting functions including contract review, revenue recognition, revenue-related processes and controls, and revenue systems, while ensuring timely and accurate revenue reporting. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and support the company's growth and financial objectives.

Responsibilities
- Perform the review process on multi-obligation contracts, ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP/ASC 606, relevant accounting standards, and company revenue accounting policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, Product, Revenue Operations, Sales, and Legal teams on new products, initiatives, contract review, deal structuring—assessing impacts to revenue recognition.
- Perform revenue-related month-end closes including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and conducting analytical review and fluctuation analysis on revenue to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Adhere to internal controls for revenue accounting, ensuring proper documentation.
- Focus on continuous improvement of revenue processes, policies, and procedures that leverage technology, maximize efficiency, and support scalability for company growth.
- Assist with periodic stand-alone selling price analysis.
- Lead or assist with research and preparation of revenue-related technical accounting memos and position papers.
- Assist with preparation of revenue schedules, financial statements, and disclosures for internal and external reporting.
- Participate in external audits, special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc revenue accounting requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue recognition.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and revenue recognition principles.
- Prior experience in high-growth SaaS, software, or technology companies is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and revenue management tools, preferably Salesforce, Sage Intacct, Zuora, or similar.
- Teamwork and collaboration focus.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and documentation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Compensation
Relativity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This position offers a total compensation package including a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The salary range is between $74,000 and $110,000, with the final offer based on experience, skills, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range is uncommon to allow for future salary growth.
