LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant in Bloomington, MN to manage accounting for revenue recognition under ASC 606 and support GAAP-compliant close processes.

The role requires hands-on experience with revenue contracts, public company exposure, and a comfort level with SOX controls. You will mentor junior staff and partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with revenue recognition preferred or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience working for a public company.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
• Prepare and review inventory standards and related entries.
• Ensure compliance with SOX internal control requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain GAAP adherence and identify process improvements.

Senior Revenue Accountant (Technical Accounting / Revenue Recognition)

We are currently working with a longstanding, global business in the manufacturing industry on a Senior Revenue Accountant search. Looking for strong GAAP knowledge, hands-on revenue recognition experience, and comfort in operating within a SOX-controlled environment. If you enjoy owning close, digging into contracts, and improving accounting processes, this could be a great next step. VERY strong leader/mentor within this vertical of the business who you will be working alongside.

Job Functions:

• Support month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance
• Prepare and review inventory standards and related accounting entries
• Ensure compliance with SOX internal control requirements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting
• Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Assist with external financial statement audits, tax compliance, and lender audits
• Support special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience - one year of revenue recognition preferred OR public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 (preferred)
• Experience working for a public company

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA license or CPA candidate
• Background in public accounting and/or technical accounting within industry
• Experience with ERP systems (cloud-based platforms preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
