Job summary

Empower is seeking a Senior Workplace Planning Consultant to provide retirement and financial wellness education to participants in employer-sponsored plans. You will guide clients through managed accounts, build strong relationships, and drive personalized engagements to support long-term financial well-being.

The role requires a self-starter with excellent organization, a competitive spirit, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments
• Demonstrated success in sales
• Good understanding of IRAs, retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations
• Good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
• Ability to learn Empower's record keeping system and Salesforce
• FINRA 7 & 66 registrations (or 63 & 65)
• FINRA fingerprinting upon hire

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to plan- and policy-related questions
• Relay accurate information and provide clear communication of policies and procedures
• Retain assets through education and guidance on plan-specific and general distribution options
• Educate customers on distribution decisions and tax implications of retirement investments
• Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction
• Engage with peers to problem solve and deliver results
• Use tools and services to find best options for retirement planning needs
• Meet monthly and annual sales and service goals
