Job summary

The Baldwin Group in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior Retirement Advisor to provide consultative guidance on plan design, benchmarking, and compliance, while leading the sales process from prospecting through close.

You will partner with HR and finance leaders to tailor retirement plan strategies, drive employee participation, and educate employees to improve engagement. A strong background in B2B retirement sales is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as Financial Advisor/ Retirement Plan Advisor or similar institutional retirement role.
• Series 65 or 66 license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or related field preferred.
• Advanced designations such as AIF, CFP, CPFA, CEBS, C(k)P preferred.
• Life & Health Insurance License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathers employer-sponsored retirement plan information and develops tailored plan sponsor recommendations with proposals.
• Communicates with clients, prospects, recordkeepers, TPAs, insurers, and internal teams to advance opportunities.
• Finalizes sale and implementation of group retirement plans, coordinating paperwork and deposits and ensuring a smooth handoff to client service teams.
• Develops prospects by networking, attending seminars, building relationships with centers of influence, and generating referrals.
• Coaches and mentors colleagues within retirement practice while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
