Job summary

WTW is seeking a Retirement Plan Compliance Analyst to support attorneys by drafting and amending defined benefit and defined contribution plan documents, SPDs, and related notices. You will ensure ERISA compliance and manage documentation with precision, while guiding internal teams and coordinating client communications to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires 5+ years of drafting experience, expert MS Office skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or legal studies or equivalent.
• 5+ years drafting/amending pension plan documents and SPDs.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience reviewing domestic relations orders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft/amend defined benefit and defined contribution plan documents and SPDs.
• Ensure documents comply with ERISA and federal laws.
• Manage document production timelines and organization.
• Train and mentor staff on plan drafting and compliance.
• Provide guidance on plan language to internal clients.
• Research and stay current on laws affecting employee benefits.
• File documents with government agencies when needed.
• Communicate with clients and counsel on updates.
• Maintain and organize research and contracts.
• Oversee multiple clients and projects, meeting deadlines.
