Job summary

Newport, an Ascensus company, seeks an experienced Compliance Analyst to perform complex retirement plan compliance testing, review, and government forms preparation to ensure plans remain tax qualified. You will support testing and accounting activity, and assist in resolving plan issues for client satisfaction.

Requires 8+ years in third-party administration, ASPPA RPF-1 & RPF-2, and advanced Excel/MS Office skills; a Bachelor's in business or related field is preferred, with ASC/QKA a plus.

Qualifications

• 8 years of progressive plan experience in third party administration environment required.
• ASPPA designation (RPF-1 & RPF-2) demonstrated knowledge of controlled groups, cross testing, catch-up contributions.
• Advanced knowledge of retirement plan tax law (ERISA) including relevant IRC sections; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares/reviews nondiscrimination, top-heavy, coverage and 415 tests for complex plans.
• Ensures tax-qualified status by IRS/DOL reporting and testing requirements.
• Maintains client databases, submits Form 5500 packages, and coordinates year-end processing.
• Reviews plan documents, determines participant eligibility, and supports client issues resolution.
