Job summary

WTW is seeking an organized Retirement Plan Compliance Analyst to support our attorneys by drafting and amending defined benefit and defined contribution plan documents, SPDs, and related materials, including participant communications.

The role focuses on ERISA compliance, document production and management, staff training, and clear client communication, with opportunities to oversee multiple client projects and ensure timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or legal studies, or equivalent concentration preferred.
• 5+ years drafting, amending and tracking changes to pension plan documents and SPDs.
• Detailed understanding of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code.
• Expertise with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, writing and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan Drafting: Draft/amend defined benefit and defined contribution plan documents and related communications.
• Compliance: Ensure documents comply with ERISA and applicable laws; audit-ready.
• Document Production/Management: Maintain up-to-date plan documents and ensure timely production.
• Training and Development: Train and mentor staff on plan drafting and compliance.
• Internal Client Communication: Provide guidance on plan language and requirements.
• Other: Research changes in law/regulations using legal databases.
• Filing: File documents with government agencies as needed.
• Client Communication: Update clients and counsel and gather required information.
• Document Management: Organize research, contracts and legal documents.
• Project Management: Manage multiple clients/projects, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation.
