Job summary

Employment Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Retail Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of retail properties, optimize operations, and preserve asset value. The role is full-time and hybrid, based in Vienna, VA, with a salary range of $110,000–$130,000.

Responsibilities include owner communications, tenant relations, budgeting, CAM reconciliations, and coordinating capital upgrades, while ensuring safety and high appearance standards across properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPM or RPA designation (or progress towards).
• Experience with property management systems such as Yardi or MRI.

• Oversee tenant relations, rent collections, and vendor contracts.
• Prepare budgets, CAM reconciliations, and financial reports with accuracy.
• Coordinate minor construction projects and capital upgrades from planning to completion.
• Conduct property inspections and identify operational risks and solutions.
• Collaborate with leasing, accounting, and construction teams for seamless management.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies with sound judgment.

Our client is a commercial real estate advisory firm provides services such as project leasing, tenant representation, property management, investment sales, and market analytics for landlords, tenants, and investors nationwide. The Senior Retail Property Manager will oversee and optimize the management of retail properties, ensuring high operational standards, tenant satisfaction, and asset value preservation. This is a full time hybrid position, based in Vienna, VA, paying a salary range of $110,000–$130,000.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations for a portfolio of retail properties, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and appearance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, leading ongoing communication including owner reports and meetings
• Oversee tenant relations, rent collections, and vendor contracts, supporting tenant retention and operational efficiency
• Prepare and manage budgets, CAM reconciliations, and financial reports with accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate minor construction projects, tenant improvements, and capital upgrades from planning through completion
• Conduct property inspections, identify operational risks, and implement proactive solutions
• Collaborate with leasing, accounting, and construction teams to deliver seamless property management services
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and exercise sound judgment in time-sensitive situations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial property management experience, specifically including retail properties
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPM or RPA designation (or progress towards); retail experience at reputable property management firms preferred
• Strong proficiency with property management systems such as Yardi or MRI
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and CAM reconciliations

Preferred qualifications

• Experience managing retail anchor tenants and large retail centers
• Certification or formal training in property management or real estate finance
• Strong understanding of property market dynamics and tenant relations
