Job summary

IT Engagements seeks a Functional Business Analyst with hands-on retail banking platform experience across consumer lending, teller/payments, or sales and service/account opening. You will gather requirements, create specs, and own UAT while collaborating with developers and vendors on end-to-end banking processes.

The role emphasizes data mapping, process flows, and SQL-based validation, with a 12-month engagement and a 100% remote work setup (EST/CST).

Qualifications

Hands-on Retail Banking domain experience.
Experience with at least one of: Consumer Lending, Teller/Payments, or Sales & Service/Account Opening.
Strong requirements documentation and UAT experience.
Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
Ability to explain end-to-end banking processes.
Experience working directly with development teams and/or vendors.

Responsibilities

Gather and document functional requirements for retail banking applications.
Create functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings.
Understand and document end-to-end banking processes such as loan origination/servicing, teller operations, or account opening.
Own business UAT, including test case creation, execution, defect triage, and resolution.
Work closely with developers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Use SQL to validate business rules, transactions, and data.
Support banking platform implementations, conversions, and enhancements.
