Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a Restoration Engineer to join our leading engineering firm specializing in structural integrity, forensic investigations, and building envelope restoration for projects nationwide. You will lead investigations, surveys, and testing to diagnose structural deficiencies and develop repair recommendations.

You will oversee construction to ensure compliance and quality, manage internal teams on structural and waterproofing challenges, and monitor budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional license or eligibility for licensure in architecture, structural engineering, or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in forensic investigations and/or restoration projects.
• Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.
• Experience in leading internal teams and working collaboratively on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact on restoration consulting projects.
• Lead investigations, surveys, and testing to diagnose structural deficiencies.
• Develop repair recommendations and oversee construction for compliance and quality.
• Manage internal teams on structural and waterproofing challenges.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and procedural adherence.
• Assist with marketing efforts to promote restoration and forensic engineering services.
