Job summary

Thomas Young Group is partnering with a multidisciplinary consulting firm to lead and grow a Building Forensics practice, shaping services, building a team, and leveraging an established client base.

You will oversee investigations of water intrusion, building envelope failures, and structural concerns while mentoring staff and coordinating budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables with engineers, architects, environmental professionals, and construction consultants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building forensics or related disciplines.
• PE and/or RA preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills; leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and development of the Building Forensics practice.
• Oversee complex investigations involving water intrusion, building envelope failures, structural concerns, and building performance issues.
• Manage client relationships and support business development efforts.
• Develop repair and remediation recommendations for clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, environmental professionals, and construction consultants.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop technical staff as the team grows.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
