Job summary

Shelby County Health Care Corporation in Memphis, TN is seeking a Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time position. You will supervise daily department activities, allocate staff duties, and coordinate therapies to ensure high-quality patient outcomes, in compliance with policies and iRESPeCT standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, scheduling staff, overseeing equipment use, mentoring students, and collaborating with the respiratory manager to orient new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT licensure in TN within 1 year is required.
• Current CPR certification (Upon Hire).
• ACLS certification preferred/Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily department activities and assign duties to staff.
• Review work orders to prioritize activities and expedite therapies.
• Schedule and allocate patient care resources to ensure adequate service.
• Oversee equipment setup, regulation, and monitoring of respiratory devices.
• Mentor students during their clinical rotations and in-services.
• Collaborate with the Respiratory Manager on staff orientation and performance feedback.
