Job summary

The New York State Department of Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist Supervisor 2 to oversee daily operations, staff and clinical services, and participate in accreditation and quality programs. The role includes direct patient care and coordination with the on-call team in the department.

The incumbent will mentor staff, support in-service education, ensure compliance with CARF and JCAHO standards, and contribute to the respiratory program's rotation and committee work.

Qualifications

• Possession of a license and current registration as a respiratory therapist in New York State.
• One year of permanent service as a Respiratory Therapist Supervisor 1 or three years post-licensure experience in administration of respiratory services (HELPS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of staff and delivery of clinical services.
• Assist with in-service education and compliance with state/federal regulations (CARF/JCAHO).
• Deliver direct patient care and coordinate with on-call team.
