Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley in Ukiah, CA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team. You will provide basic and critical respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, work with physicians, document care, and contribute to patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s): Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents the appropriateness of prescribed therapy for patients receiving respiratory care and administers aerosol and oxygen therapy; maintains charts.
• Performs pulmonary function tests and provides additional patient care regarding cardio-respiratory disease; assists in rehabilitation and patient/family education.
• Makes rounds to check all respiratory therapy equipment and ensures compliance with ventilator and care bundles; updates diagnosis throughout hospital stay.
• Assists with maintenance and processing of equipment and supplies; supports physicians and staff with procedures and quality control.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
