Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Ukiah, CA. Start is October 12, 2026 with 36 hours weekly on a night 3x12-hour shift (5:00 PM–5:30 AM) in a short-term acute care hospital.

The ideal candidate holds CA RCP license, NBRC credentials, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS, with 2+ years of critical care experience and a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy. Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• NBRC credentials (RRT or CRT) required; NBRC accepted as eligibility.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP required by policy; PEARS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience; adult/geriatric care.
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy and adjust per policy.
• Administer aerosolized and oxygen therapies; monitor and document response.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients, including those on ventilatory support; manage ventilator settings as directed.
• Perform arterial blood gas draws; ensure timely processing and charting.
• Document in EMR, maintain flow sheets, assist with training of new staff as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, evidence-based respiratory care.
