UPMC in Ohio is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to administer prescribed respiratory therapy under physician supervision. You will assess patient condition, operate ventilators and aerosol devices, and ensure safe, effective treatment across age groups.

Responsibilities include monitoring physiologic responses, documenting progress, and assisting in procedures such as bronchoscopy when required. You will collaborate with the care team and lead workload as needed to maintain high

Competenze

• Associate degree from accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Ohio Respiratory Therapist license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire; CRTT OR RRT certification.

Mansioni

• Interviews patient and family to obtain information about health history.
• Reads prescriptions, reviews patient information, and assesses patient condition, to administer respiratory therapy.
• Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment and to administer gases and aerosols.
• Monitors patient responses including vital signs and arterial blood gases.
• Assists in procedures such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheotomy when needed.
• Maintains patient charts and communicates with physicians and supervisors.
