Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time critical care experience in respiratory care.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist license with current registration.
• NBRC RRT credential required for entrants after 1993 and ACLS certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/update individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administer and document respiratory therapies and diagnostic tests.
• Manage and monitor respiratory equipment and adjust treatments.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team and educate patients and families.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training during shifts.
