Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the night shift. The role involves performing respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics under the medical director and cardiopulmonary leadership, with potential lead responsibilities during shifts.

Qualifications include an active RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility, BLS, ACLS, and PALS; neonatal resuscitation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC or obtained within three months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Possibly lead RCP during shift and supervise section/department.

Education

State Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RCP)

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

PALS Certification (AHA)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (preferred)

Associate or Bachelor degree in field (preferred)

2 years acute care experience (preferred)
