Summary

Help Patients Breathe Easier. Lead with Excellence! The Senior Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care and serves as a senior clinical resource across inpatient units, critical care areas, emergency response, and outpatient clinics. Assesses and manages patients with complex respiratory conditions requiring specialized expertise in ventilatory support, airway management, respiratory treatments, and emergency interventions. Partners with leadership to support daily clinical operations, staff development, workflow coordination, quality improvement activities, and adherence to clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.

Compensation

• Base hourly rate: $33.41
• Geographical Differential: $6.93
• Total Hourly Rate: $40.34

Qualifications

License and Certification Requirements

• License to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the State of New York
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Education and Experience

• 1. Bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in respiratory therapy or a related healthcare field; or
• 2. Associate's degree from a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in respiratory therapy or a related healthcare field.
