Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York seeks a Part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support pulmonary rehabilitation within the Department of Internal Medicine - Pulmonary. You will assist rehabilitation therapists, provide direct and indirect patient care, and help supervise students and volunteers.
Candidates must have an Associate degree from an approved PTA program and be eligible for NY licensure, with preparation to obtain licensure within six months.

Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care in specific treatment, support and maintenance of rehabilitation services programs; provides educational support to students; assists the rehabilitation therapist with assessment and supervision of students and volunteers; assists in administrative and clerical functions within rehabilitation services department.
The starting pay for this position is $24.07/hour which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications: Required Education and Experience License and Certification Requirements License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of New York. Education and Experience Associates degree from an approved physical therapist assistant program.
NOTE: 1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain New York State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. 2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
