Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III in Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center. Responsible for comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator support, therapy delivery, and patient education.

The role includes clinical leadership, mentorship of staff, and participation in quality initiatives. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC credential, RRT, and active BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• NBRC credentialed and active state license.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist or five years CRT with demonstrated competency.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Perform oxygen/ventilator care, bronchial hygiene, and related therapies.
• Monitor patient responses and modify therapy as needed.
• Lead clinical rounds, mentorship, and staff training.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and research.
