Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Resource Integration (RI) Engineer in the Renewables & Power Grids group, based in a hybrid role across multiple US locations. You will lead studies for power flow, transient stability, interconnection, and market analyses, while guiding junior staff and liaising with clients on project scope and deliverables.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, deep power-system knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 10% to meet client needs and support project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electric power systems and renewable energy.
• Hands-on experience with power-system tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF, and PSCAD-based modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD model development for renewable and conventional generation resources.
• Lead and advance script development and troubleshooting throughout the study process.
• Collaborate with team members to understand study requirements and ensure timely deliverables.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for grid reliability and energy markets.
• Conduct studies for generator interconnection per ISOs/RTOs requirements and methodology.
