Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Resource Integration (RI) Engineer to drive innovation in the Renewables & Power Grids group. The role focuses on steady state, dynamic, and interconnection studies for power generation resources, with emphasis on delivering value to customers in North America.

The ideal candidate will lead projects, manage commercial aspects, and collaborate with a diverse team to advance grid reliability and market knowledge while working in a dynamic hybrid setup across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of electric power systems and renewable energy.
• Hands-on experience with power-system tools (PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF, PowerWorld).
• Experience in transmission/distribution planning analyses and interconnection studies.
• Knowledge of North American RTO/ISO markets and interconnection requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to manage schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD model development for generators and renewables.
• Lead studies for power flow, stability, EMT, harmonics, and techno-economics.
• Guide script development and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Collaborate with team on study requirements, including billable hours and commercial items.
• Serve as SME for grid reliability and energy markets.
• Lead generator interconnection studies and ISOs/RTO requirements.
• Mentor team members on generation, transmission, interconnection modeling.
• Engage in industry stakeholder meetings and monitor market changes.
• Support business development with RFP responses and SOQs.
