Job summary

DNV Energy Systems seeks a Senior Resource Integration Engineer to advance studies for renewables and conventional resources. The role emphasizes model development, interconnection analysis, and market understanding in a dynamic, hybrid US office environment.

The candidate will lead technical studies, mentor team members, and engage with clients to deliver robust, compliant solutions while contributing to innovation in the power systems advisory space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with electric power systems and renewables.
• Hands-on experience with power-system tools and interconnection studies.
• Knowledge of NA RTO/ISO markets, grid interconnection practices, and NERC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit and PSCAD model development for renewables and conventional resources.
• Lead and advance study processes, deliver high-quality results, and optimize workflows.
• Collaborate with team members and manage billable hours for timely deliverables.
• Serve as SME for grid reliability and energy markets; attend stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Prepare responses to RFPs and Statements of Qualifications for tenders.
