Job summary

RESPEC seeks an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our Mining & Energy team. Preference will be given to candidates based in Reno, NV, or willing to work from Reno, with encouraged applicants in Vancouver, BC and Saskatoon, SK.

You will develop resource models, estimates, and technical reports across North America. The role involves collaborating with technical teams, mentoring juniors, and contributing to improving estimation practices while supporting business development and client

Qualifications

3–5 years of mine geology experience in an operating environment.
5–7 years of hands-on experience in resource modelling and domain estimation.
10+ years of total geology experience with a focus on resource work.
Professional designation such as P.Geo. (Canada) or CPG (AIPG).
Strong background in resource estimation, block modelling, and geological interpretation.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate geological and block models.
Prepare mineral resource estimates and support technical reporting (NI 43-101, SK-1300).
Evaluate geologic, drilling, sampling, and assay data; perform QA/QC reviews.
Partner with geology, mine planning, operations, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality resource models.
Mentor and support junior geologists; contribute to process improvements in resource estimation.
Support business development by building client relationships and aiding recruitment.
