Job summary

Capital Vacations is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to oversee upkeep of resort facilities, amenities, and activities, ensuring a safe, well-ordered environment. You will supervise maintenance staff and execute complex repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems.

The role requires experience in resort maintenance and strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and budget-conscious planning.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supervisory-level resort maintenance.
  • Three to five years of experience in building and facilities maintenance.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification preferred.
  • Hazardous material handling training within six months of hire date.
  • Proficiency in handling hand and power tools for repair tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain upkeep of the resort, amenities, and activities to ensure safety and order.
  • Supervise and inspect maintenance staff and ensure work meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform highly complex repairs of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and pool equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment including pumps, motors, and facilities infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans within budget considerations.
  • Complete daily work orders and follow up on tasks to ensure quality.
  • Manage routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance schedules.
  • Provide mentorship and training to maintenance staff.
  • Prepare and prioritize assignments for maintenance personnel.
