Job summary

Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Capital Program Administrator (Resilience Engineer) to lead the County’s resilience program within Public Works & Environmental Services. This senior role reports to the Deputy Director and oversees grant administration, contract management, and capital projects for flood risk reduction.

• This role requires a bachelor’s degree and six years of capital project management or engineering experience.
• Experience with water management, hydrologic models, grants, and resilience planning is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers capital projects, contracts, and budgets.
• Reviews invoices and payments from consultants and contractors; supports annual budgeting.
• Establishes QC/QA procedures to standardize project management.
• Coordinates with local governments, state and federal agencies on planning and regulatory matters.
• Engages partners and prepares written reports and deliverables.
