Job summary

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners seeks a Capital Program Administrator (Resilience Engineer) to lead the resilience plan's execution within Public Works & Environmental Services. The role centers on administering the Broward Resilient Grant Program and delivering flood-risk infrastructure improvements, coordinating with local, state, and federal partners.

The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, extensive project management experience, and a track record in water

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, hydrology or environmental sciences or closely related field.
• Requires six (6) years of capital project management, design or engineering experience.
• Preferences: 5+ years in program/project reporting and in working with state/federal agencies.
• Preferences: 6+ years of grants management and water management with hydrologic models.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor construction contractors and consultants; negotiate contracts and change orders.
• Prepare documentation, budgets and analysis for projects; provide options analysis for construction and development.
• Lead meetings with consultants to review progress and manage all project aspects.
• Establish QC/QA procedures to standardize project management and improve quality.
• Oversee invoicing, payments and fiscal year budget requests; ensure deliverables approved.
• Perform administrative duties, change orders, and project closeout; resolve open items with stakeholders.
