Job description

Job Summary:

As a Senior Residential Solar QA & Operations Specialist, you are a member of one of IGS’ fast-paced emerging businesses. A Senior Residential Quality Assurance & Operations Specialist is responsible for a variety of operations related tasks such as reviewing solar systems along the installation process for validity and quality, approving the purchase of these systems, and assisting external business partners though IGS’ milestone process. This role directly contributes to IGS’ goal of scaling our Residential Solar business quickly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate solar systems submitted for milestone review.
    • Review and process a high volume of solar projects from outside parties to ensure compliance with IGS’ program requirements.
    • Review shading reports, project photos, and other project specific documentation to ensure project quality.
  • IGS Solar 360 platform expertise and partner support
    • Become an expert user of IGS’ Solar 360 platform, capable of guiding external business partners through IGS’ milestone review process.
    • Craft clear and concise instructional emails to provide external partners with detailed instructions on how to navigate IGS platform features, milestone rejections, and product information.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions to educate partners on common reasons for milestone rejections.
    • Identify issues and create software tickets for IT support providing essential information and context to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Process improvement
    • Create comprehensive user guides and process flows to help facilitate understanding and utilization of key systems and procedures.
    • Analyze KPIs to assess performance metrics and identify areas of improvement within IGS’ milestone review process.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Customer Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Business Development to address operational challenges, streamline processes and drive initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Intermediate computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to learn new technology platforms (partner portals, reporting portals, etc.).

  • Ability to learn a variety of IT applications and learn our business’s processes.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and document management skills with an attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong analytical skills, results oriented, driven.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex resolutions.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Prior experience in Solar Installation, Solar Inspection, or Solar Service roles required
  • 4 years of work experience
  • Intermediate skills in all MS Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Familiarity with Solar Shading tools such as Aurora and Eagle View is a plus

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$53,480.00 - $85,570.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
