Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with social services coursework and at least one year of counseling or related experience, plus supervisory experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours in social services-related instruction.
• One year experience in counseling or related field.
• One year experience working with youth and young adults.
• One-year supervisory experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and students to ensure safe, secure operation of the assigned Residential area.
• Assist students in adjusting to Center life through supervision, behavior modification and mentoring.
• Ensure students meet schedules and attend school or work assignments on time.
• Maintain dorm cleanliness and inspection readiness; monitor personal hygiene and chores.
• Provide informal counseling on stress management and responsible behavior; document student progress.
• Maintain and document student records, prepare reports, and communicate with management, staff, and students.
• Facilitate life skills groups and discussions on budgeting, renter’s rights, leases, and related topics.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to screen, interview staff and conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure safety, security, and a harassment-free center environment; uphold CSS and employability skills.
