Lever, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Project Engineer to lead civil/structural construction activities in Illinois. You will oversee field inspections, testing, and documentation while coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain quality and schedule.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in civil engineering, and 10+ years of senior inspection experience, including Tollway projects. Travel to sites and compliance with safety programs are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE license required
• 10+ years in construction inspection/civil/structural engineering with senior responsibilities
• Experience on Illinois Tollway projects required
• Strong leadership for complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of contract management, planning, and documentation
• Familiarity with e-Builder, ICORS, and MS Office
• Ability to travel to construction sites
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• US work authorization without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsabilités

• Provide overall project leadership for construction engineering activities
• Direct field inspection, material testing, and project documentation
• Lead coordination with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Interpret and enforce contract documents and specifications
• Liaise with Illinois Tollway, manage communications and progress reporting
• Conduct weekly progress meetings
• Manage change orders and extra work orders
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and resources
• Maintain job site records and pay requests
• Ensure safety protocols are followed
• Mentor inspection teams
• Assist in planning future projects during off-peak periods
• Champion project quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction
